Obesity in the Third Age.

The aim of this work was to study the degree of obesity of the older population in Attica by gender, age, level of education and occupation in order to assess their health status.The results indicated increased risk of obesity related diseases in the population of Attica.  Confronting overweight and obesity is  a strategy by the W.H.O. as a way of improving population health in the 21st century.
