This project consists of three parts. The first part – theoretical includes four chapters presenting the data gathered from the bibliographic research. More specifically, the first chapter contains concepts and definitions related to the third age, while the second chapter deals with three concepts that are inextricably linked to older people (health, functionality and prevention).
Following, the third chapter analyzes two types of disorders that are often encountered in amongst the aged, Anxiety and Depressive Disorders. The theoretical part is completed in the fourth chapter which deals with the care of older people today.
The second part, research for the degree has two chapters. The first analyzes the methodology of the survey and the second presents the results. The dissertation ends with the third part, which contains the conclusions, proposals, bibliography and the annex.
