CARMEN: Care and Management of Services for Older People in Europe Network (2001-2004) 'Integrating Services for Older People: A Resource Book for Managers' Interesting for health and care professionals
CARMEN: Care and Management of Services for Older People in Europe Network (2001-2004), an EC “Quality of Life and Management of Human Resources” Programme (DGV), was a thematic network of 40 multi-disciplinary organisations from 11 countries managed by EHMA (European Health Management Association). It undertook a 3-year cross-national comparison of methods for integrated care and published 'Integrating Services for Older People: A Resource Book for Managers' Eds: Dr Henk Nies and Philip Berman (ebook), which was also translated into Greek. There are 13 chapters addressing all aspects of integrating services for older people, including: methods of assessment and service delivery; new methods of planning care provision; monitoring and management of care performance; and methods of network co-ordination.
